VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Administrator / Engineer
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Administrator/Engineer to support and manage enterprise virtualized and cloud infrastructure environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, automation, infrastructure operations, and production support.
This role will be responsible for platform administration, lifecycle management, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability of critical infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments, including SDDC Manager, workload domains, and lifecycle management.Manage VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi environments, including cluster administration, HA, DRS, storage, networking, and resource optimization.Support and maintain VMware Aria (vRealize) Suite components for monitoring, automation, logging, analytics, and operational visibility.Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment automation.Create and enhance PowerCLI/PowerShell scripts for VMware administration, reporting, and operational automation.Manage Windows and Linux server infrastructure, including patching, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.Monitor platform health, analyze performance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve production incidents.Support infrastructure lifecycle activities including upgrades, patching, configuration management, and change implementation.Drive infrastructure reliability and operational excellence through automation and proactive issue prevention.Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, Security, Network, and Application teams to deliver platform enhancements and infrastructure services.Provide production support while ensuring compliance with SLA, incident, problem, and change management processes.Required Qualifications
5-7 years of overall IT Infrastructure experience supporting enterprise environments.2-3 years of hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).3-5 years of VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi administration experience.2+ years of experience with VMware Aria (vRealize) Suite tools.2-3 years of Ansible automation experience.2+ years of PowerCLI and/or PowerShell scripting experience.Strong Windows and Linux server administration skills.Experience in infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.Knowledge of infrastructure lifecycle management, platform reliability, and operational best practices.Preferred Qualifications
VMware certifications such as VCP-DCV, VCAP, VCF Specialist, or related cloud certifications.Exposure to hybrid cloud and enterprise-scale infrastructure environments.Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and infrastructure automation initiatives.
