We are looking for someone with key skills and able to perform the following roles & responsibilities :- PLC Software Developer Bergen, Norway Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize PLC programs for motion control, load handling, and safety functions.Program using Siemens TIA Portal, including LAD/FBD/SCL, structured data types, and diagnostics blocks.Configure and integrate frequency drives, including closed-loop control, ramp profiles, torque limits, and safety torque off (STO).Implement safety logic using Safety PLCs (e.g., S7‑1500F) for emergency stops, zone monitoring, and safe motion.Design and troubleshoot industrial communication networks (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces with advanced alarm handling, diagnostic pages, and user workflows.Participate in FAT/SAT, perform system tests, and support commissioning of offshore or motion‑compensated equipment.Contribute to OT cybersecurity practices including network segmentation, access control, firmware/hardening compliance. Required Technical Skills: Expert‑level PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal preferred).Experience with motion control systems, encoders, load monitoring, and position feedback integration.Hands‑on with frequency inverters (Siemens, ABB, Danfoss, or similar).Strong understanding of fieldbus protocols and real‑time communication.Knowledge of sensor/actuator integration, interlocks, hydraulic/electromechanical equipment logic.Familiarity with OT cybersecurity—firewalls, VLANs, secure remote access, user authentication.Exposure to motion‑compensated or offshore machinery is a strong advantage.Experience in lifting and transport domain.
