The Project RealityYou'll join the Toyota Europe website development, specifically focusing on car configurator modules that millions of users interact with when building their ideal Toyota. Working alongside our Belgium campus colleagues, you'll be part of one of several iO teams delivering solutions within Toyota's enterprise technical environment alongside multiple partners. Our experience with automotive clients shows that car configurators demand both technical precision and performance optimization—these aren't simple product catalogs but complex applications handling real-time pricing, availability, and customization logic across European markets. What You'll Actually DoYour daily work centers on JavaScript/TypeScript development using React and Redux Toolkit within Toyota's established technical stack. You'll build and optimize NodeJS/Express solutions following Backend for Frontend principles, ensuring smooth data flow between configurator interfaces and Toyota's backend systems. The role involves working with modern development concepts that actually matter in production: state management patterns, server-side rendering, static site generation, and immutability principles.
