BI Engineer / Data & Reporting Analyst

We are searching for an analyst that will be dedicated for the Data & Reporting team. He will be focussing on the data flow to be delivered through a unique data and lakehouse and to prepare this for new usages such as enterprise data (BI) and AI.Our approach is Agile, so we work together faster and smarter. There is plenty of room for initiative, and we achieve visible results together in a challenging context.What does your job as a BI Engineer/Analyst Data & Reporting?As a BI engineer/analyst, you collect and analyse business requirements and needs in order to arrive at a fully functional analysis. You play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights.You have an understanding of the (life) insurance industryYou align with business stakeholders in order to refine their requirements and check feasibility, completeness and coherenceYou document, adapt, or validate the business rules and their calculationYou collaborate with the data engineer who designs the ETL pipeline that meets your needs.You design and maintain the different data models used for reportingYou create the domain driven datamarts to allow the business to do their own reportingYou do a regular follow up on all the existing datamarts in productionYou abide by the existing data architecture and challenge it whenever possibleYou can automate data processes and derive the right conclusionsThis is how you fit perfectly into our teamDemonstrable experience as a BI Engineer/analystData modelling & data mapping (be able to consolidate different source systems in order to create the correct insightsKnowledge of Domain Driven Design principles and patterns is a mustQueries on database (SQL)A strong knowledge of English. A knowledge of Dutch or French is an additional assetStrong analytical skills: a critical, problem-solving and proactive mindset with a 'hands-on' approachKnowledge of life insurance concepts, IFRS 17 & insurance accounting is an assetCommunication is key in this role, both with your team and with internal or external stakeholders.
