What you will be doing:
Building large-scale data-driven systems: Design and build platforms powering products such as real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, fraud screening, and payment optimisation.
Create scalable systems that handle high transaction volumes efficiently.
Mission-critical ML and AI systems: Build and operate infrastructure that brings ML and AI models into production for fraud detection, smart routing, and automation.
Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability in a financial environment.
Cross-domain product development: Develop features across Mollie’s domains, including benchmarking, payment method ranking, dynamic 3D Secure, dunning and recovery, and buyer intelligence, turning data into merchant value.
API and service development: Design and maintain APIs, services, and reusable components for customers and internal teams, enabling faster execution and better decisions.
Autonomy and ownership: Take technical initiatives from architecture to delivery while maintaining strong engineering standards.
Problem-solving: Solve complex challenges such as anomaly detection and transforming transactional data into actionable insights, helping make financial processes effortless.
What you will bring:

2+ years of experience in developing large-scale applications, preferably with PHP or Java.
Experience with Go, C#, or Python is also valued but you are willing to work with PHP or Java.
Experience in designing systems and handling queuing, caching, concurrency, fault tolerance and scalability.
Excellent communication skills, with experience working effectively with various stakeholders.
Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to shape ideas with a product-first approach, as well as analyse and resolve complex issues.
