About the Role
We are looking for a mid-level full stack PHP developer to join our product and technology team to support ambitious projects across both Picniq and Into The Blue.
You’ll work on improving and evolving our core platforms, helping to deliver new features, maintain existing systems, and contribute to the ongoing modernisation of our technology stack.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with others, and building high-quality web applications in a fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Be Working On
Building and maintaining features across our customer-facing websites and internal systemsWorking closely with product, design, and engineering teams from idea through to deliveryDeveloping responsive, user-friendly frontend experiencesContributing to backend services, APIs, and integrationsSupporting and improving existing PHP applications and servicesWriting clean, maintainable, and testable codeHelping identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and developer workflowsCollaborating on technical decisions and contributing ideas to the wider teamSupporting operational teams with setting up complex attractions and making changes to existing APIs

We’re more interested in strong engineering fundamentals and a willingness to learn than matching an exact tech stack.
Essential Skills & Experience
Commercial experience working with PHP and modern web applicationsExperience with at least one modern PHP framework such as:LaravelSymfonyYiiCodeIgniterSlimor similar3.
Experience with frontend development using modern technologies such as:
Tailwind CSSAlpine.jsVue.jsReactNext.jsor similar4.
Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL

Salary and benefits
£45,000 to £50,000 based on profile and experience.
Non exhaustive benefits you will be eligible to:
25 days standard, increasing by 1 day per year of service (capped at 30 days)Private medical (Vitality)Flexible remote/hybrid working available (at least one day a month in the office)1 paid day per year to volunteer for a charity of your choiceDiscounts on experience daysSummer hours: Finish at 4:00 PM on Fridays during June, July, and August.
