Brookfield Aviation is supporting a major European aviation maintenance organisation in seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians B1 or B2 to support both line and hangar maintenance operations in Amsterdam, working on a modern mixed Airbus and Boeing fleet in a safety-critical, high-performance environment.
Our client is a well-established European aircraft maintenance provider operating large-scale facilities in Amsterdam.
The organisation supports both internal and third-party operators and is recognised for its strong safety culture, technical expertise and commitment to operational reliability.
Position
This position offers hands-on involvement in inspection, modification, troubleshooting, certification and maintenance activities across line and hangar operations.
Technicians will work directly on operational aircraft, ensuring safe, compliant and on-time release to service.
The role suits experienced B1 or B2 technicians who enjoy technical responsibility, operational decision-making and supporting the development of junior colleagues within a large, international engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, modification, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks on commercial aircraft.Make technical decisions related to the Certificate of Release to Service (CRS).Maintain and certify modern Airbus and Boeing aircraft using advanced diagnostic tools.Provide technical leadership and guidance to mechanics and junior technicians.Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory and organisational procedures.Support team performance, training and professional development.Work across both line and hangar maintenance environments.Operate within a shift system including evenings, nights and weekends.Maintenance activities may include work on Boeing and Airbus aircraft types.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a licensed or unlicensed aircraft mechanic.EASA AML B1 and or B2.At least one type rating on any Airbus or Boeing aircraft.Strong technical English, written and spoken.Proven leadership capability, including coaching and mentoring others.Ability to make sound technical decisions under operational pressure.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Candidates must hold an EU passport or the right to work in the Netherlands.
