Back End Developer

As a Backend Developer for our client in Amsterdam you’ll be working in a Scrum environment and collaborate closely with both backend and frontend engineers in smaller delivery-focused sub-teams. Your Job The role focuses on developing scalable backend services and REST APIs in Python using technologies like FastAPI, Pydantic and Pytest, all running in Azure Cloud. Beyond development, you’ll actively contribute to refinement sessions, technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your Profile 5+ years of backend development experience with PythonStrong experience building REST APIs and integration servicesHands-on experience with FastAPI and modern Python toolingExperience working with Azure or similar cloud platformsComfortable collaborating across teams and communicating technical trade-offsProactive mindset with strong ownership and a focus on pragmatic deliveryEnjoys mentoring, knowledge sharing and improving engineering practices Nice to Have Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub CopilotFamiliarity with structured prompting, reusable engineering standards and evaluating AI-generated code quality We Offer Hybrid workingA high-impact role in a diverse, international environment.25 vacation days.
