GenAI Engineer – Agentic SWAT

Join the Agentic SWAT team within the AI Center of Excellence at Nationale Nederlanden (NN).The Agentic SWAT is deployed on the most complex, high-impact, and time-sensitive AI challenges across the organization—where classical solutions fall short and agentic systems shine.As a GenAI Engineer in the Agentic SWAT, you will design and deliver advanced, multi-agent AI solutions end-to-end: from problem discovery and rapid prototyping to hardened production deployments. You will operate at the intersection of software engineering, applied AI, and business transformation, tackling challenges that directly affect customers, risk, compliance, and operational excellence.What you are going to doYou will design, build, and operationalize agentic AI solutions that address urgent and strategically critical business problems. You can work highly autonomous, driving innovation of you will move fast while maintaining enterprise-grade quality, security, and reliability. Key responsibilities include:Design and develop agent-based AI systems using modern frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph), including orchestration of multiple agents, tools, and reasoning stepsRapidly translate ambiguous or high-level business problems into concrete AI architectures and working solutionsBring GenAI solutions to production as secure, scalable APIs and services, fully integrated into the NN technology landscapeWork hands-on across the full lifecycle: prototyping, validation, productionization, monitoring, and continuous improvementCollaborate intensively with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Data Scientists, architects, and platform teams in short, high-impact engagementsEngineer for reliability, explainability, latency, and cost control, given the business-critical nature of SWAT use casesEstablish technical patterns and lessons learned that can later be transferred to asset teams or platformsAct as a technical sparring partner for business stakeholders, ensuring use case implementation at all business unitsContinuously explore emerging agentic patterns, tooling, and model capabilities—and apply them pragmaticallyWhat we offer youNN invests in an inclusive, inspiring work environment and in skills and competences for the future. You bring:A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Data Science or a related field3–6+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or applied ML in production environmentsStrong experience in Python, FastAPI, and asynchronous application designHands-on experience with agentic LLM frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph) and tool/function callingProven ability to productionize AI solutions, including CI/CD, testing, monitoring, security, and governanceSolid understanding of the data science lifecycle and close collaboration with data scientistsExperience with Azure Cloud, Docker, and KubernetesExperience with infrastructure-as-code and automation (Git, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines)The ability to independently deliver complex, high-impact AI solutions in close collaboration with the businessWho you will work withYou will be part of the Agentic SWAT team within the AI Center of Excellence.
