Summary

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional team focused on a high-traffic product surface. You will own performance, reliability, and evolution of a core user experience, partnering closely with Product and Design. Requires 6+ years of software engineering experience including 2+ years leading teams, strong backend/full-stack background, and familiarity with modern web technologies like TypeScript, Laravel, and SSR frameworks. Experience with AI tools (LLMs) is a plus. Must reside in the Netherlands and be able to commute to the office at least twice per week.

About this opportunity: As the Engineering Manager for our On-Platform team, you’ll take ownership of one of our most critical product surfaces: the document page. This is where millions of students interact with our core experience every day. You’ll lead a high-performing team at the intersection of product, engineering, and AI - shaping how users discover, engage with, and benefit from our content at scale. This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine product thinking, technical depth, and people leadership to drive meaningful improvements. You’ll work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, experimenting, learning, and iterating quickly - while helping your team do their best work.
