Job Summary
We are building a new department at CPM and are looking for a forward-thinking senior level Back End Engineer & Tech Lead to play a key role in the continued development, refinement and scaling of our SaaS products that enhance the performance, efficiency and serviceability of industrial equipment.
You’ll work closely with the Digital Products Team and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable and well-documented software.
Your focus will be on back-end development and deployment of the applications.
This department is pivotal in the digital transformation across our product lines, integrating IoT, predictive analytics and AI/ML and remote monitoring capabilities to deliver smarter, connected equipment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support software engineersContinuing development of our SaaS applicationRefactor and polish existing code to improve performance, usability, and maintainabilityImplement new features based on product roadmap and customer feedbackWrite and maintain unit tests and technical documentationCollaborate with other developers and teams Support customer technical issues
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field (technical master’s preferred)10+ years of professional experience as a SW / back end developerProficient in Java (Spring), SQL, DockerExperience in TerraformExperience in AWSExperience with REST APIs, unit testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelinesStrong communication and documentation habitsExcellent problem-solving and debugging skillsFluent in English; Dutch is a plus
Preferred Skills
Experience with industrial software, IoT, or edge-device integrationProficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, Google Analytics, or similar is a plusOther programming languages or frameworks are a plus
